The 1971 D.B. Cooper plane hijacking that captivated the nation is back in the headlines, with reported new leads recapturing the public’s attention. Last August, Vox Tablet turned the clock back to 1971 and discussed the unsolved D.B. Cooper mystery with a private investigator who was contacted decades after the incident by someone who believed his relative might have been the hijacker.

Skipp Porteous, who runs Sherlock Investigations in Manhattan, and who converted to Judaism, spoke to Vox Tablet about his investigation into the incident and the resulting book, Into The Blast: The True Story of D. B. Cooper. It’s worth another listen to as the nation once again focuses on the mysterious incident.
