• While hosting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang urged him to engage with the Palestinians and resume the peace process. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas visited China just ahead of Netanyahu. [ToI]
• State Department official Gregory Hicks delivered testimony on the congressional hearing on last year’s Benghazi consulate terrorist attack that left four Americans dead. Hicks claims that the State Department objected to his questions about the attack and was ‘effectively demoted.’ [NYT]
