Each Monday, we choose the most interestingly Jewish announcement from that Sunday’s New York Times Weddings/Celebrations section. This week, we honor the nuptials of Rachel Berger and Ari Jankelowitz. They have all the basic bona fides—a rabbi officiating, doctors and fundraisers in the family, and indeed a bride who is studying to be a nutritionist. But more, this feels like something of a family affair to those of us in the world of Jewish publishing (which as insular as you would imagine it to be, except significantly more so), because the bride’s mother is Jane Eisner, editor of the Forward. Mazel tov to the happy couple!
