Santorum holiday card mixes messages with New Testament quote

In an effort to reach out to Jewish voters in the Palmetto State, Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum’s South Carolina team sent out a Hanukkah card. “Happy Hanukkah from S.C. Team Santorum,” reads the card, which Slate posted. There’s a menorah! Dreidels! A Star of David! Gang’s all here!
And… a four-line quote from John 8:12, which readers of this blog might recognize as belonging to the New Testament. Better luck next year, Santorum.
