If you grew up in Israel in the 1980s, you were a very big fan of Parpar Nechmad. That is because Parpar Nechmad was one of maybe three shows for kids. It was also because Parpar Nechmad was a very sweet show—the name literally means Nice Butterfly—consisting of adult actors telling cheerful stories to puppets. Well, the puppets have retired, but the actors are still here, and today, to celebrate the new season of Game of Thrones debuting Sunday, one of them, Ofra Weingarten, took the time to return to the old set and read out one more story, about a happy kingdom called Westeros. Even if you speak no Hebrew, click here and then sit back and enjoy the lovely illustrations of everyone’s favorite TV bloodbath.
