This afternoon, two explosions were reported near the finish line of the Boston marathon. (One was caught on video.) Two other suspicious devices were then detonated by law enforcement, and the Boston Police Department has reported at least two people dead. City hospitals say at least 49 are injured. Eerily, the photo above depicts first responders after the explosion, with the Israeli flag visible in the background—on Israel’s own memorial day.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Boston and their families. President Obama will be making a statement at 6:10 pm, and we’ll have more as this story develops.
