The American Society of Magazine Editors just dropped its nominees for 2011’s Digital Ellies, and we are thrilled that Tablet Magazine received two nominations!

Our weekly podcast, Vox Tablet—the defending champ in the category—was nominated for the second year in a row. You can listen to the four podcasts we submitted here:

“Fugging Around”: Jon Kalish catches up with former Fugs frontman Tuli Kupferberg. (Kupferberg died in July).

“Breaking Away”: Josh Gleason follows Luzer Twersky during the 23-year-old’s first year outside his Satmar Hasidic community.

“Showtime”: Eric Molinsky explores the Jewish history behind Harlem’s legendary Apollo Theater.

“Monumental Embrace”: Daniel Estrin reports on Berlin’s Memorial for the Homosexual Victims of the Nazi Regime in Berlin.

Also nominated were podcasts from Harvard Business Review, The New Yorker, Slate, and Poetry. Good luck to all!

Our other nomination is for … well … the blog you’re reading. Specifically, best “blogging.” Please visit the ASME site for a complete list of blogposts from 2010 that we submitted. Also nominated was blogging done by IEEE Spectrum, Sunset, Glenn Greenwald for Salon, and Joe Posnanski for Sports Illustrated. Good luck to all of us, every one!

And a special shout-out to our listeners and readers: We appreciate y’all.
