Columnist Michelle Goldberg profiles Zeitgeist, an implicitly right-wing movement that is arguably “the world’s first Internet-based cult,” one of whose films obsessed Jared Lee Loughner (the shooter of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords), and which posits theories about the international money supply. Guess what? “Though it says nothing about Jews, its analysis mirrors classic anti-Semitic canards.” But the full story is far, far crazier than the summary.
