The Boston Police Department has tweeted that three more people have been taken into custody as the investigation of last month’s bombing expands. According to an ABC report, there are about 12 persons of interest in the case. No other details have been given by the police.

Meanwhile, the Boston Globe is reporting that the three people in custody are college students and that they have been arrested. According to the source, the three suspects were classmates of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the surviving Boston bombing suspect, at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where Tsarnaev was a student.

I’m sure there won’t be other conflicting accounts, but in case there are, we’ll keep you posted.
