Tomorrow evening, Radiohead is scheduled to rock Tel Aviv’s HaYarkon Park in a sold out show in front of 40,000 adoring fans. If you are a regular reader of these pages, you’re probably no stranger to the concert and the controversy it generated after the band told a bunch of anti-Israel activists—including Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters and the filmmaker Ken Loach—precisely what they can do with their calls to boycott the Jewish State. Being a real rock band, Radiohead understands that its art form, when done right, is all about emotional candor, not morally preening political theater.
