Tee Up for This Hitler Miniature Golf Hole
Because there’s always time for a quick round of nein holes
Tablet contributor Sabine Heinlein brings our attention to the greatest sport we never knew existed: Hitler mini golf. In this video, which was posted on YouTube this week, a visitor to England’s Grundy Art Gallery’s 2012 exhibition, Doug Fishbone & Friends Adventureland Golf, tees up to a miniature golf hole bearing an enormous torso-up likeness of Hitler. (The creation, made by sibling artists Jake and Dinos Chapman, was a particularly controversial element of the interactive exhibit.)
In this installation, the player must hit the golf ball through a hole in the crotch region of the massive reproduction of the Nazi leader. Make it through and Hitler’s wooden arm flies up into a Nazi salute as he angrily yells, “Nein, nein, nein, nein.”
Sorry, Hitler: Rules say play it as it lies.
