• A bombing in a busy square in central Damascus killed eight people and wounded at least 50 more. [LA Times]

• Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told John Kerry, who arrived in Israel yesterday to jumpstart peace talks, that Palestinian incitement is standing in the way of negotiations. [JTA]

• Kerry, meanwhile, pledged $75 million in U.S. aid to the Palestinians to boost support for said peace talks. [AP]

• And Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has, according to an advisor, proposed a united Jerusalem contingent upon Israeli withdrawal from East Jerusalem. [Times of Israel]
