So, NPR’s popular Planet Money podcast is currently running a fascinating series on t-shirt production. Turns out tons of second-hand shirts—from the GAP, sports teams, summer camp, and, yes, family simchas—eventually make their way to sub-Saharan Africa, where they’re resold and reworked into new shirts.

Now the producers are on a quest: to find the Jennifer of this eponymous bat mitzvah t-shirt and bring the story full circle. (The name-tag in the shirt is labeled Rachel Williams.)

Do you know Rachel? Do you know Jennifer? Help us solve the mystery. Please email us at [email protected], and put “that’s my shirt” in the subject line. And please share this as much as you can. It would be really awesome to find Jennifer and talk to her about her bat mitzvah t-shirt’s journey.

Tablet readers, work your magic.

Update, December 11: Jennifer has been found!
