Beastie Boys’ Mike D. Loves Bella Abzug

The congresswoman and activist is his favorite New Yorker

The Beastie Boys’ Mike D. answered New York magazine’s 21 Questions, and the 48-year-old, who described himself as “musician, producer, designer, curator at large, dad,” had a few interesting insights. In addition to characterizing his responsibilities at his first job in as “restocking, shipping and receiving, schlepping” at a book store, the Brooklyn-bred Beastie Boy told the magazine that his favorite New Yorker, living or dead, is pioneering congresswoman and feminist activist Bella Abzug.
