In Judaism male masturbation is prohibited. Meaning that most religious Jews will not masturbate due to the fear of terrible retribution, or not to get a red mark in their grade books. Others will lie because for them, being there is a religious prohibition on male masturbation the shame of masturbating is greater than the sin of telling a lie. If you wanted to make a fair question that does not have to do with specifically ones religion, ask if they have tried drugs or alcohol before the age of 18.
