This week’s winner is “Dan,” who responded to Etgar Keret’s depiction of a highly civilized—if somewhat unfocused—Tel Aviv demonstration against rising costs of living with this insight: “this is how a demonstration looks like in a real democracy; no violence but also with much deodorant!”

Touche. Dan gets a copy of Sacred Trash, by Adina Hoffman and Peter Cole, which harkens back to a time when achievements were vast, the sun blazing, and the deodorant probably hard to come by.
