• Dmitry Flekman, a 29-year-old Ukrainian Jew, was arrested, interrogated, and beaten up by two detectives earlier this month in Lviv, Urkraine, a nine-hour ordeal the local Jewish community says symbolizes rhe country’s ising nationalism and anti-Semitism. [JTA]

• Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has said she is “disappointed” by an email sent by fellow Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson, in which Grayson compared the tea party to the Ku Klux Klan. [Politico]
