The ’90s Called: Two Bernie Sanders Movie Cameos
Watch the Vermont Senator pass out candy on Halloween, and play a ranting, baseball-loving rabbi

If Larry David Bernie Sanders doesn’t win the presidency, at least we know he’s got acting chops. No, for real. He plays himself so well, so I’m just going to leave these two clips here, below. The first is from a movie called My X-Girlfriend’s Wedding Reception (1999) and shows Bernie Sanders playing Bernie Sanders playing Rabbi Manny Shevitz (creative!) who goes off about the ills of modern baseball. The second is Bernie Sanders playing Bernie Sanders as a neighborhood man who gives candy to trick-or-treaters in an uncredited role in Sweet Hearts Dance (1998). Enjoy!
