No. 75: Every Jeff Goldblum Movie Ever
The actor as walk-on hero
December 06, 2011
57 films, according to IMDB, dir. various. Some fans prefer early, Dada Goldblum: the mute tricyclist of Nashville, the Hollywood denizen in need of his mantra in Annie Hall. Some prefer classic Goldblum: the star of The Fly and The Big Chill. But best is late-period Goldblum, when he appears briefly in mediocre films, like a dessert, to save the whole meal. He is the best thing about: Jurassic Park; Independence Day; Igby Goes Down; The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou; and probably many other so-so movies. And he doesn’t even need to act! He just needs to be Jeff Goldblum.
