Last week it was IDF websites getting hacked by Anonymous, today it’s the Israeli Groupon site being hijacked with anti-Israel screed. Is nothing sacred?

Instead of seeing the usual deals on dinners and weekend getaways, visitors to Groupon Israel are greeted today by a black screen with green and red text condemning the IDF’s Operation Pillar of Defense in Gaza. A group calling themselves Pakistani Leets claims responsibility for the hacking, with the message “The Notorious Hackers are Back” across the top of the page. “I am writing on the behalf of all Pakistani and all Muslims,” the message continues, before breaking into an expletive-laced tirade against Israel and Jews.

Israeli government officials said Sunday that 44 million hacking attempts had been made on government websites.
