Eitan Chitayat, a blogger for The Times of Israel, published a video on Friday “as a message of solidarity [and] hope and as a hand reaching out to any Jew anywhere to show them they’re not alone.” His inspiration for the video, which soon became an Internet hit, was primarily derived from a conversation he had with a friend living in France after the Charlie Hebdo attacks in January who was “terrified, fearful to be publicly identified as Jewish.” In fact, wrote Chitayat, “We rock.”
